The next 60 days could with some work on your part catapult you to top of the podium, or not. Depending on what your goals are and with realistic intentions, you can without a doubt gain more strength, increase your muscle endurance, gain speed and improve your balance. With proper training, you can transform your body a lot in 60 days. With strength comes confidence, with confidence, more wins.
Mental strength increases with verbal reinforcements, visualization, goals and targets. Putting together a structured plan for both physical and mental gains is critical for those with high expectations. Nutrition has to also be included.
A well-balanced meal plan should also be practiced at least 5 days in a row. Learning to eat the foods that your body needs takes time just like anything else. Rewarding yourself with your favorite foods is equally important in order to create a consistant habit. Example would be: maintain meal plan monday - friday; saturday or sunday a reward might be pizza or cheeseburger / fries, etc. Just don't overdue it..
A structured meal plan will allow you to eat more (often), lose fat, and build muscle.
No excuses ! If you're participating in another sport prior to your wrestling season, hopefully you stay injury free. You can still strength train and start practicing good nutritional habits.
Starting September 17th, my fall wrestling club begins and I'll be incorporating everything discussed in this post.
